Beginning your service


Property with an existing home ~
If you have purchased an existing home in the district, it is important to contact the district staff as soon as possible so that your property account records can be updated, and we can make sure you start your service with a zero balance. It is not uncommon to have previous owners leave with an unpaid balance that must be paid by the new owner. Escrow companies should contact the district to ensure that all amounts owed by the previous owners are settled, but this is not always the case. Please protect yourself and contact the district to ensure that you start with a clean slate.

Vacant property ~
If you have purchased vacant property, then you should contact the district to ensure that your property is within the existing service area of the district, and that your property can receive service from existing water mains. If both of these conditions are met, then you may request a "Water Availibility Certificate" from the district office to facilitate obtaining your permits and then begin to make arrangements for your meter installation.

If your property is outside the district service boundary then, in order to obtain water service, you will need to pursue annexation. Information on this process can be found in the "Obtaining Water Service" section.

If you property cannot be serviced from existing water mains, then you will need to pursue extending the main. Information on this process can also be found in the "Obtaining Water Service" section.


Billing Cycle


The district bills on a bi-monthly basis. Bills are sent in the 3rd week of every odd month for water used during the previous 2 months.

Payments are due by the 15th of each even month, or the 16th if the 15th falls on a Sunday.
